Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won. It exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours. -Ayn Rand

What Needs To Be Done
Ok so Crossfit is the definition of a well balanced athlete, in my opinion (Cardiovascular/Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Accuracy, and Balance.) Now as a beginner in CrossFit all of these tend to increase, which is awesome to see as a beginner! But being "Elite" some of of the gains somewhat plateau and some specific training needs to be applied (i.e. strength training). For me it is frustrating to see gains in my lower body but my upper body is the "chink" in my chain. And it really does piss me off!! If you haven't heard about my performance of the second workout in the sectionals then you can watch it below!! Watch at the end, after the burpees!! UNACCEPTABLE! Its sucks going from 11th after the first workout to 70 something in rankings! But I can only be mad at myself. I mean common!! I cannot even press my body weight over my head!! Now, as an "elite" crossfitter and coach that is unacceptable and something has GOT to be done. And for me that is sacrificing some metabolic conditioning for strength training. Im gonna press press press and pull pull pull. Until it is a strength and not a weakness!! March 13th will be the last time I am disappointed as an athlete and that a specific movement will own me!! So here's to next years sectionals!!!!
